It feels safe, which brings peace of mind when walking around at night.

One of the drawbacks is that public transport options aren’t very close, so having a vehicle is almost essential. Also, there aren’t many community centers or places where everyone naturally comes together, which can make it harder to socialize if you’re new. It would also be nice if the town had better bike lanes to encourage more outdoor activity.

I really enjoy the well-maintained roads and how bike-friendly most parts of Ban Chang are, which is great for a breezy Sunday ride. Plus, the overall sense of community is warm. I always feel welcomed where I go, and that is worth highlighting for anyone who appreciates connections and open chats with locals.

One thing that not impress me is the dining scene. There are good options nearby, but I sometimes crave a bit more variety, particularly for international fare. Even though I found a couple of go-to meals, venturing out of the area is often needed for different tastes. Also, hearing tales about petty crime in some areas does give a slight nudge of concern.
