Chiang Saen has this incredible chill vibe that I really appreciate. The river views are stunning, especially during sunset, and I love exploring the ancient temples scattered around. It’s nice to walk around town without feeling rushed, and it’s super safe, even at night.

One downside is that the dining scene could use a bit more variety; sometimes, I wish there were more restaurants to try out. Also, if you're looking for nightlife, it's pretty quiet—you have to venture farther out for that kind of action.

The peaceful surroundings and beautiful landscapes around Wiang really stood out to me. It’s the kind of place where you can find quiet spots to focus or unwind amid nature, with clean air helping you breathe easy. I also felt safe walking around during the evenings, which isn’t something I always get in more crowded cities.

The main drawback was how far you are from busier towns or public transport link-ups, which sometimes made running errands or meeting friends a bit inconvenient. Dining choices were pretty limited, too, so I’d often cook at home rather than going out.
