There isn’t much in the way of public transport, so having a car is pretty much a must. I’d also say it could do with more options for food and exercise—finding a good gym or different restaurants means heading out quite a bit. The roads aren’t always in the best shape, which can be a bit of a hassle when getting around.

There's a lovely sense of peace in Mueang Kalasin that combines so well with the local vibe. I appreciate the plentiful green spaces to enjoy walks and the variety of restaurants nearby makes it easy to find something different when the cooking at home gets a bit routine. Neighbors are genuinely friendly as well, which is a big plus for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Negatives
Access to gyms is a bit limited here, which can make staying fit a little challenging. Also, while there's a nice range of eateries, I'd like to see a few more dining options surface, as sometimes I crave variety in my meals. Still, these are just small trades against the tranquility and community I really cherish.
