Nam Phrae is a peaceful spot surrounded by a lot of greenery which makes it very relaxing. The air quality is noticeably better compared to busier parts of Chiang Mai and it felt safe even during the late evening. It’s perfect if you want a quieter lifestyle with natural beauty, and having some nice local trails not too far away is a big plus for me.
Negatives
The location isn’t ideal if you rely heavily on public transport since options can be limited, and having a car feels necessary. There aren’t many dining choices nearby, so you'll have to plan ahead or be willing to drive for meals or entertainment.
