Living there was a dream! The transport links are fantastic, which made it so easy to explore Bangkok. I've always appreciated having a variety of restaurants nearby; the local food scene is delightful, and there are beautiful parks for whenever you want a little nature break. It really has a vibrant energy without being overwhelming.

There are a couple of downsides. While the dining options are enjoyable, I wish there were more on weekends, especially when you're looking for something unique or special. Also, functioning community centers would really add more to the neighborhood's character and sense of belonging.

Victory Monument is a great place to live! There is a variety of different property types in the area from low budget to luxury properties. There are lots of restaurants, shopping malls, green spaces and quick access to Bangkok from the BTS Victory monument, BTS Phaya Thai and taxis. There seem to be more Thais living in this area compared to other parts of Bangkok which means good food and great way to immerse yourself in Thai culture.
Negatives
It's a busy area and kind of a hub - so the traffic both auto and people can be high. If you're looking for more foreign style bars etc then you may be better off further down the BTS line.
