About S&S Sukhumvit

If you're considering a move to Bangkok or simply changing neighborhoods within the city, S&S Sukhumvit is definitely worth a look. Located in the Punawiti district, this condo development has been around since 2010 and it's solid. The project has two buildings, each with 18 floors, totaling 810 units.

Punawiti itself is a balanced blend of modern conveniences and local culture. It's got this community vibe that's hard to find in some of the more commercial districts. There are also some pretty reputable schools nearby like Wells International School and St. Andrews International School. If you have kids, this could be a huge plus.

Healthcare? You're covered. Sukhumvit Hospital and Kluaynamthai Hospital are just a quick drive away. And while we're on the subject of driving, the traffic around here isn't as unbearable as you'd find in some other parts of the city.

Shopping and entertainment are also on point in this area. Seacon Square and Paradise Park Mall aren't far off, and they offer more than just shopping; think weekend activities, seasonal festivals, and a wide variety of food options.

Mega BangNa is also within reach. It's massive and offers everything from shopping to dining and entertainment.

Oh, and if you're into tech or work in the industry, you'll love having True Digital Park in the neighborhood. It's a tech campus that's fast becoming a hub for startups and established companies alike.

Need a break from the urban sprawl? Rama 9 Park is close by. It's a fantastic green space for a jog, a picnic, or just an afternoon with a good book.

S&S Sukhumvit is a well-placed, convenient, and vibrant spot to consider for your next home.

Positives
Lived in S&S for 5 years with two kids. Very nice project to live in for a family, pretty large condos for the price and location. The parc with the little playground is really nice for young kids, plenty of other kids to play with. BTS is about 1km (10m walk). Quite a few options to eat, and having True/Wisdom nearby is really nice, including their co-working spaces. For weekends, the Rama 9 park and Mega Bang Na are the best, with not too much traffic that way.
Negatives
I just wouldn't recommend it if you intend to drive towards Asok, as Sukhumvit is super busy in that direction. It's fine if you use BTS or drive towards Bang Na. The pool is nice but cold.

Are there pros/cons of buying a condo on Thong Lo vs Ekkamai? Or are they similar?

Thong Lor and Ekkamai are very close to each other. Just a street over, however Ekkamai typically is better value yet still just 5-10 min away.

While close to each other, Thonglor is more developed and has numerous shops, bars and restaurants. It is a more "desirable" neighbourhood and in demand. It will attract higher prices for both rent and sale. Ekkamai is a developing area, and will eventually catch up to Thonglor. So, if you like trendy areas, Tonglor will be your more expensive option, if you prefer to stretch your budget a little further, Ekkamai is a good option with a strong potential to increase in value.

Ekkamai is a bit (but a bit) quieter Other is pretty much the same - all depends on the specific project
