The area has great access to buses and other public transportation, making it really easy to get around Hat Yai. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, especially if you enjoy street food and local markets. Also, shopping malls aren’t far off, which is handy if you want to relax on weekends or just grab whatever you need.

Negatives

Even though it feels pretty convenient overall, there isn’t much greenery around to enjoy when you want some fresh air. The streets near where I stayed can get quite dark at night, which sometimes made me feel a bit uneasy, especially when out late.
