Positives
The connections to public transport here make exploring the city a breeze, and I’ve loved discovering the different restaurants just a stone’s throw away from my apartment. Green spaces to relax in after a busy day are a perfect escape in the midst of the city's hustle.
Negatives
While the area's compact and convenient, I did notice the pollution on those busier days, which isn’t the best, and biking is a bit of an adventure since there aren't many bike lanes in sight.

Are there pros/cons of buying a condo on Thong Lo vs Ekkamai? Or are they similar?

Thong Lor and Ekkamai are very close to each other. Just a street over, however Ekkamai typically is better value yet still just 5-10 min away.

While close to each other, Thonglor is more developed and has numerous shops, bars and restaurants. It is a more "desirable" neighbourhood and in demand. It will attract higher prices for both rent and sale. Ekkamai is a developing area, and will eventually catch up to Thonglor. So, if you like trendy areas, Tonglor will be your more expensive option, if you prefer to stretch your budget a little further, Ekkamai is a good option with a strong potential to increase in value.
